How to create a Company-Level Inspection Template

Learn how to create an inspection template using two different methods. You can either build a template manually by adding questions, or import a template in bulk using a CSV file.

What are Company Templates?

Company Templates are general inspection templates that can be used across multiple sites. They are not scheduled. Managers can access and complete these inspections at any time when they are on-site.

How to Access Company Templates

From the homepage, click the Settings (gear icon) in the top-right corner. From the left-hand menu, select Inspection Templates, then click on the Company Templates tab.

There are two ways to create an inspection template.

Option 1: Create an Inspection Template Manually

  1. Click Create Inspection Template.

  2. Enter the required details:

    1. Title

    2. Description

  3. Click Save to create the inspection.

  4. In the Inspections window, begin building the template by adding questions:

    1. Click Add Question

    2. Enter the question

    3. Select the appropriate question type from the drop-down menu

    4. Click Save

  5. To organise the template into groups:

    1. Click Add Group

    2. Move the desired questions into the group by dragging and dropping

Option 2: Create an Inspection Template via CSV Import

  1. Click Import Tasks and select Import from CSV file from the drop-down.


  2. On the Inspection Template Import page, upload your CSV file.

    Note: Do not select a site if you want to create a company-level template (this allows the template to be used across all sites).

  3. Preview the questions to be imported:

    1. Deselect any questions you do not want to include

    2. Click Next

  4. Review the questions and click Next to complete the import.
